We have decided to concentrate on the south as we just don't have enough time to see the whole country properly. We fly into Barcelona at 9am, jump straight on to a flight to Madrid and stay overnight there. We have a niece working for the Australian Govt. in Madrid, so even though we won't be there long, at least we have a "local" to show us a few of the sights.
Next destination is Cordoba (we're catching the train from Madrid), where we'll pick up a couple of hire cars and then drive down to the villa we have rented near Iznajar. We are so looking forward to this trip! The history and the amazing architecture, not to mention the food, wine and everything else associated with a trip to a foreign country, has us all counting down our sleeps!!
Anyway this e-mail was really just to say to you - thank you so much for going to the effort of setting up your wonderful website to help your fellow travel enthusiasts! By the way I have also checked out your Ireland site - just to see where you've been. My brother lives just out of Dublin, so we've had several memorable trips over to see him! And we're off there again this time - that's after we've left Spain and had a week in Romania (to catch up with old work associates) then two weeks in the UK seeing "old" family and friends!
Muchas Gracias! I'll send you some photos when we get back, if you like.
